My quick notes:

- there is currently, on purpose, no way to create the first admin user from the Web application.  You must create a user using the rails console or direct DB writes.  I'll bother with a proper way of bootstrapping the system Some Day<tm>.

- for the RMagick gem:
    sudo apt-get install libmagickwand-dev
- it is assumed the Web server serves /_ebydict/* correctly.
