If your antivirus says that CmisSync contains a virus, please let us know at [email protected]. Then upload the CmisSync installer to https://www.virustotal.com : If all other antivirus suites mark it as safe, then it is most probably a false positive and needs to be reported as such to the antivirus vendor.

Some antivirus programs allow only software that has been white-listed in advance. Here is how to white-list CmisSync:

Symantec

  1. Go to https://submit.symantec.com/whitelist/isv/

  2. Upload or provide a link to CmisSync (better provide a link, to avoid infection by any actual virus that might be present on your local computer)

  3. Fill the form as seen below:

  1. Then submit. White-listing can take up to a day. Thank you!

Avast

When the Avast popup comes, click on Report the file as a false positive:

Avast report false positive

Alternatively, fill the web form: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Cylance

Follow the instructions at https://support.cylance.com/s/article/Cylance-VirusTotal
