Tweetify App

Tweetiy App is a simple android application that allows users to login with their gmail account and tweet. The tweets are open or visible to all the users. It consists of only a single page i.e. feeds page. The profile page and features such as followers etc will be implemented later on.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

You will need the following tools and technologies to build and run the project:

  • Android Studio
  • Kotlin
  • Firebase
  • Gmail API

Installation

Clone this repository and import into Android Studio

git clone https://github.com/amaanlari/tweetify.git

Configuration

You will need to configure the following services for the app to work properly:

  • Firebase: Follow the steps here to create a Firebase project and add the google-services.json file to your app folder.
  • Gmail API: Follow the steps here to enable the Gmail API and obtain an OAuth 2.0 client ID for your app.

Usage

To use the app, you need to do the following steps:

  • Run the app on your device or emulator
  • Login with your gmail account
  • Write a tweet and press the send button
  • View the tweets from other users on the feeds page
  • Logout from the app when you are done
