v4.1.0

Features

  • The frames are now provided as separate face pieces; this is probably going to be the way forward for the project, given the ease in printing and heightened print quality, compared with a fairly minimal compromise in finished unit sturdiness.

Improvements

  • The bottom panel is now inset into the frame again, as it was in v3.
  • The top frame bevel has been improved, and added back to the bottom.
  • The bottom frame and panels now use posts to connect the two, same as the top. These may be a bit tight still, I'm still playing with it.
  • The frame interchange hole is now a diamond, simply because it's easier to print.
  • Overhang panels also have a bevel now, replacing the usage of an external roundedcube object.
  • More elements have been properly parameterized, for flexible redesigns in the future.

Miscellaneous

  • Docs and supporting material cleanups:
    • Link to the IRC channel (even if I'm the only one in it).
    • The copy of the GPLv3 is updated (it's easier to read now).
