ODCA newsletter 2015 12 15
Hey folks,
I had a chat a few weeks back with some folks in San Francisco about sending out a weekly update. I've seen this provide value in other projects, so I'd figured we'd try it out. If you have topics you want me to include, if you would like to help put it together, or if you have any feedback, ping me.
I've had a lot of folks ask for links to the site, the admin, the api, etc. Here they are! There is a github issue to add these to our project page and the site's footer.

A month ago we had a breakthrough, the frontend is talking to the API. The data is still stubbed (faked) but this allows us to see some major updates happen. Thanks to Tom for making this happen.
Last week at Open Oakland we reviewed the current mockups. With more knowledge since our last monthly meeting, we were able to make more educated decisions about how to prioritize planned features. We also identified some areas which have latent data costs--some features we don't have data for, or the data is hard to get, so they were cut.
Some annotated mockups have been posted on the google drive. The design team is working on another iteration. Thanks to Sarah S. for leading the charge on this.
We'll be discussing the data pipeline at the Wednesday SF Brigade meeting.
