Configuring your environment

You will need to install Docker Desktop and VS Code. Because both installs require elevated privilege (administrator, root, or sudo rights), you may need to ask your IT department to install these for you.

Note Docker desktop is free for small businesses, personal use, education and non-commercial open source projects. VS Code is free and open source. When you install Docker you may be asked if you want to create a free account at DockerHub (https://hub.docker.com/). This is optional. You will not need a DockerHub account for this workshop.
