+For me, the experience was quite different. It was the first time in years that I didn't get kicked or climbed on during the night - not that it helped me sleep any better, but it was certainly *quieter*.  
 
 Fortunately, flying eastwards meant the time difference worked in my favour, allowing me to [[videocalls|video call]] home after finishing work each day. During these calls, my view was mostly limited to the top of her head and a constantly moving ceiling - the classic toddler video call experience! But it was still nice to be able to interact with her for a bit, and having her try and show me whatever she was interested in in that moment.
