Use Case 1: Accurate play position

# # Use Case Description

          • For media synchronization, interactive video and ad insertion use cases an accurately reported current play position (as the presentation time of the currently presented frame) is required.
          • We’ve seen offsets of up to 800ms, testing with different Smart TVs, HbbTV etc.. For testing, the actual play position was “burned” into the video.
          • The issue might not originate from an inaccurate media engine, but maybe slow event pipeline or low JavaScript resolution timer => performance
          • Device manufactures probably have more insight into this.
