Release Notes

This update to the METbaseimage repository updates the NetCDF libraries to support the use of groups. This is necessary for recent enhancements to the MET ioda2nc file (dtcenter/MET#2068) to support files of this type. Also updates versions of the HDF5 and NetCDF libraries to mirror those used on the NOAA WCOSS2 machine.

Includes the following Issue:

• Enhance the MET base image to support NetCDF files using groups in the enhanced data model

Note that this version still uses Python 3.6.8. The v1.2 release will upgrade to Python 3.8.6.
