Xbox Game Bar

You'll need to disable an Xbox Game Bar widgets as these are now to cause a white screen.

Corrupted settings on update

Unsure of the cause, seems random.

Solution is to:

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+I (Alternatively press Alt and go to View -> Toggle Developer Tools).
  2. Go to the Applications tab. Potentially behind a >> listing.
  3. Expand IndexedDB.
  4. Delete the Settings entry.
  5. Restart the manager.

If you can't see a Settings entry, do the following:

  1. Uninstall the manager
  2. Press Windows key+R.
  3. Type appdata and click OK.
  4. Navigate to the Roaming folder.
  5. Delete anything containing r2modman in the name.
  6. Reinstall the manager.

Antivirus

Some antivirus software may trigger false positives. There are two reasons for this:

  • The manager isn't signed (it costs money, yearly).
  • It downloads DLLs that may be detected by the antivirus (either false positives or otherwise), causing a chain reaction where the AV removes the manager.

If the manager worked previously, it's likely an antivirus issue.

If none of the above steps worked, it may still be an antivirus issue. Try disabling it prior to installing r2modman to see if that fixes it.
