Are you using rust for speed? If so, you might consider using more python-friendly languages such as numba or cython. (Otherwise, these bits of the code are probably essentially unreadable by the common python programmer…)

@saraedum This is only a test how integration of rust in a python code base works. Of course numba etc. is the goto solution in ec-tools. I have tried to benchmark the semi-integration and it is slower with the rust implementation compared to numba.
