Add a search widget to maps for places, POIs, etc.

Add a search widget to the maps app for navigating to a place or POI. Similar to the search on Google Maps.

As a consumer, I want to navigate to any common administrative geography, simply by typing its name into the search.
I.e. "Canada" will navigate the map to the bounds of Canada. "98103, USA" will navigate to the American zip code 98103.

As a consumer, I want to be able to use my custom geocoder to back the search widget.
I.e. I work for Trimet (transit in Portland, Oregon) and I want to use our home-grown pelias geocoder with all of our transit stop, intersection, and address information for the city.

The search experience should be consistent with similar geospatial searches -- like Mapbox, Google, etc. This means including autocomplete and recommendations (with reasonable logic to rank), handling of common spelling mistakes, etc.

I am concerned about adding a search box in the map when there is already a search box above the map. How are users supposed to know that one is for searching Elasticsearch and the other is for searching places?

As for the UI, it could be something to place near the coordinates locator, understanding it's an interface to navigate to places, not for data filtering
