Summary
This is a proof of concept for including a geocoder (address search) in the Maps app. This relies on an external Pelias API that is currently only hosting data for the West region of the US.

Geocoding is a difficult problem to solve. Pelias is one of several open source geocoders that uses Elasticsearch to attempt to solve this problem.
