note : direction only for Windows
- Press
windows + rand insert%appdata%and press OK - Go to
AppData/roaming/Musescore4/MuseScore4.ini - Choose theme (Latte / Frappe / Macchiato / Mocha) and accent colors from the preview
- Find the line
application\themes=and select the whole line - Copy and Paste the chosen theme's code into the selected line in the .ini file and save it
- Your musescore should be recolored!
Don't forget to choose either light (only latte) or dark (frappe / macchiato / mocha) theme on
edit/preference/appearance
(if an update happens you might need to redo these things but it's relatively simple)

Q: "What if I want to change certain colors myself"
A: You can change the colors on the .ini file by changing what you want on certain partsColor : accentColor, linkColor
Theme :
-> backgroundPrimaryColor, focusColor (Base)
-> backgroundSecondaryColor, buttonColor, popupBackgroundColor (Surface0)
-> fontPrimaryColor, fontSecondaryColor (Text) -
Q: "Will the colors change back to default everytime you open Musescore4 in in general?"
A: No it will not (not sure about updates yet for now) unless you reset your entire preferences -
Q: "The colors did not change at all"
A: Try copying the code from the raw preview of the chosen accent and theme and make sure the code looks the same as how you openned it spacing wise
