Welcome to the obsidian-list-modified wiki!

Basic introduction to how the plugin works (and breaking changes for 3.0)

PLEASE READ.

Obsidian List Modified 3.0 introduced the concept of dividers. This means the old heading configurations will no longer work. This allows for more freedom as to where you want to put your modified lists and how you want to label them. See below for a comparison.

REMEMBER: Any content you put between a divider start and its %% END %% WILL be replaced with lists. Do not put anything in these areas.

Divider lines (e.g. %% LIST CREATED %% and %% END %% will automatically be removed at the end of each time period (day/week/month), and can be hidden temporarily with a CSS snippet or by using preview mode.

The concept of a "log note/daily note" in Obsidian List Modified

  • A log note/daily note (interchangeable) is where Obsidian List Modified will place its dividers.
  • By default, your log note is your Obsidian daily note using the built-in Daily Note plugin.
  • If you have the Periodic Notes plugin installed, you can select whether to use your daily, weekly, or monthly note in the List Modified settings.

Important

Obsidian List Modified will not work unless:

  1. Your log note is present or should be auto-created depending on settings
  2. Your log note contains the necessary dividers and their end tags, or dividers should be auto-created depending on settings

Settings & Configuration

Most settings are descriptive enough that they do not need wiki pages. For the more advanced settings that do, see the following:
