Old information

NHM2, NHMBIF, etc was a physical Linux server at the Natural History Museum operational between approximately 2005 (??) and ca 2013 (??) when all content was moved to a virtual Linux server hosted by the USIT IT department at UiO. This server hosted GBIF-Norway services including the DiGIR (closed in 2012) and IPT (launched in 2012). During 2018 all GBIF-node services were moved out of the nhm2 virtual server to a new dedicated GBIF-node virtual server at data.gbif.no. The nhm2 server still hosts a number of other collection databases and other information systems not operated or supported by the GBIF-node (as per 2021).
