Just FYI - the updates in my fork remove all the IDE specific and the personal local development folder/dir names. The repo can now be much more easily imported directly from github by IntelliJIDEA and Eclipse - or, you can build the library directly with Maven. |
Hi David, many thanks. Is it possilbe to keep the eclipse project AND make the repo ideal for maven? Best regards |
Yeah. You can do both, I suppose. Eclipse and IntelliJ do understand Maven
projects quite well though.
For the Eclipse project files, anyone besides you would have to know to
flag those files after cloning the repo as "assume changed" which will
cause their git repo to stop tracking changes. It's a bit risky. Someone
else might forget and push that set of project files into a pull request.
You'd have to watch out for that.
