Hello @EpicKris Thanks for your PR. Unfortunately the mdns dependency is a "native module" and will cause problems for existing users, for example, Linux users will need to install some dev libraries; Mac users will need to install xcode tools, and Windows users will not have a good time either. A member of the Homebridge team is currently working on a RFC compliant alternative to mdns/bonjour in pure JavaScript: https://github.com/homebridge/ciao Once this is done, we can use this library to advertise the UI. |
