Q: Can I build and install this myself from a computer that is not running OS X?
A: No, it is impossible to build an iOS application from a computer that does not run MacOS X and the latest version of Xcode. However this does not mean it has to be a Mac. You can use other methods to get MacOS X. This could be a Virtual Machine or Hackintosh. We are not going to provide info on how to achieve this, however google is your friend.
Q: Can I help make iNDS better?
A: Sure go ahead! Fork the project and commit whatever changes you feel need to be committed and file a Pull Request. We will take a look at it and possibly add it to iNDS!
Q: XYZ Game isn't working!
A: Have you tried redownloading the game? It is possible that the file(s) have been corrupted. If this does not work please double check that you are on the latest released version of iNDS. If this does not solve your issue file an Issue on our issues page.
Q: Are there any other emulators for iOS?
A: Sure there are LOTS. iNDS is actually built from the base of an older project called either nds4iOS or Nitrogen. Some of the Emulators we would recommend you check out are as follows:
Q: Why isn't there an emulator for XYZ console on iPhone???
A: Could be that no one has gotten around to making it or that IOS devices aren't powerful enough. There is also the possibility that an emulation core doesn't exist for the console since most emulators on IOS are ports of other emulators on computers . (Generally consoles after the 6th generation of gaming are too powerful to be emulated on IOS devices with the exception of the Wii). Peak around see if you can figure out a reason.
Q: Where do I get ROMs?
A: Technically you are only allowed to get ROMs by using a device to backup your game cards. But because these devices are expensive and/or hard to come by people use ROM websites to download ROMs. Though because of legal and ethical reasons which could pose a risk the developer of this application, we do not provide links to these sites. This is why the search feature in INDS sends you to Google. There are countless YouTube videos and tutorials which show good examples of rom websites.
iNDS does not support the piracy of ROMs. If you are downloading ROMs you do not own physical or digital copies of you are pirating and should be aware of this. ROM hacks however fall under a grey area and should be safe to download if you own a physical copy or not.
