As an example of bringing in experienced teams, we offer the following short bios of some of the IBM Subject Matter Experts who acted as users for our design and usability testing.
Mary-Sara Jones is a Health and Human Services Subject Matter Expert in IBM’s Government Center of Competency (CoC) –Social Programs and Government Healthcare with 25 years experience in Health and Human Services. She provides strategic direction to government organizations to improve services and optimize outcomes for vulnerable individuals and families. Mary-Sara has focused on proactive approaches to address vulnerable populations through integration of health and social care. With the rising awareness of social determinants across the industry, Ms. Jones has been focused on the themes of integration and collaboration to promote a more preventative approach across mental and behavioral health, social care, and health care.
Rena Burns is a Program Specialist in Government Health & Human Services for IBM. She brings extensive policy and program knowledge to her solutions approach and volunteer activies in Federal, State and Local Child Welfare, Human Services and Public Sector Health Care programs. Rena applies her knowledge in partnership with clients and solution teams in order to create and deliver solutions that support current and transformative programs, practices and evidence-based models. For nearly thirty years, Rena has worked to expand knowledge of the generational impacts of stressors and behavioral trauma to children, youth and families and to apply predictive indicators for children at risk, enabling evidence-based interventions that are capable of modifying family dynamics.
Michael Yozzi is a Managing Consultant with IBM Global Business Services who is currently supporting a data integration project in a large California County. His role managing functional requirements as it relates to a cross-government initiative of combining 9 agency source systems into one view. He has done program management and development work in multiple US states regarding the Affordable Care Act and has developed security and privacy policies for HIPAA compliance. He has over 20 year of experience in the Health and Human Services industry.
