The idea behind SignupService is it will be able to generate a series of unique signup codes that can be used to create accounts on this website. This application doesn't handle user creation, it only allows validation of users via a preshared key.
Tables:
- Keys
The Keys table is the only table here. It's columns are
string:key
andbool:claimed
.
Endpoints:
-
/verify The URL to verify that a given key is unused.
The idea is a (registered) frontend app will call
Signup.verify(key)
followed byUser.create(user_info)
in the event that the verification was a success. We do not want to expose our UserService to the outside world, meaning these should only be accessible on-network. -
/generate The URL to generate more unique keys. This should only be accessible to Users verified with
admin
permissions.
