Alpha release of the travel time matrix and OD data.

For evaluation only no guarantees of quality.

Files:

NTEM_desire_lines - zipped geojson of desire lines with estimated daily flows by mode. Flows have been summed for each direction. I.e. one line represents trips from A to B and B to A.

bus, car, cycle, rail, walk - zipped CSV files of travel time matrix in seconds between NTEM zones. Matrix accurate up to 120 minutes travel time. Above 120 minutes results have been interpolated based on the shortest time via a known mid-point. This shows and exceptionally good correlation for car travel, but works less well for train and bus where details of timetables matter. In which case, travel times are usually slightly overestimated. All modes also allow ferry use to access islands. But the car mode only allows roll on roll of ferries. Travel time based on 8 AM departure on 2021/10/28 and built with OpenTripPlanner 1.5.

NTEM_centroids_mod - zipped geojson of centre points of NTEM zones. In England and Wales, these are MSOA population-weighted centroids. In some areas, the centroids have been moved slightly to aid routing.
