So slixmpp team deprecated the omemo plugin and replaced with the Syncdace one see : https://codeberg.org/poezio/slixmpp-omemo
This is a WIP with this new plugin. (It's a lot cleaner).
It add a lot of new dep https://github.com/Syndace/slixmpp-omemo/blob/main/requirements.txt but it's in Debian trixie and unstable
not sure if there is a way to disable it i someone don't want that ?
