KARA - An open plain text captioning format made specifically for karaoke - offering ease of use, simplicity, and flexibility that no other format offers. Empowering people to write more karaoke captions with its productivity.

Codes in this organization are governed BSD3 license or The Unlicense. Texts are available under CC0 1.0 Universal.

This organization contains:

  • (Planned) specification: Formal specification of the KARA format.
  • (Planned) libkara: a reference C library implementation of the KARA format.
  • (Planned) website: the KARA project homepage.
  • (Planned) editor: a web and desktop editor for authoring a KARA file, using the Flutter framework.
  • vim-kara: Vim support for the KARA format.
