If it doesn't belong here, maybe it could be added to the SDL3 migration guide? I came across this issue while migrating sdl2 to sdl3.

No, I don't think it is. I think we should have a shader authoring guide that lives somewhere dedicated and that way we can address specific shader languages and compiler tools when necessary.
