Following on from a productive day of planning yesterday, we discussed with Alex, our coach for this project, to take some time out of our mornings and to begin writing code individually to make a decision on what framework to use. Shakira would be using MERN(MongoDB Express Angular Node), Lilly would be using React.js, Daniel would use Ruby on Rails(backend), and React.js(frontend), and myself, Jordan, would be using purely Ruby on Rails.

The general consensus was that despite all having different pros and cons that the most sensible decision was to use Ruby on Rails. All four of us were familiar with the framework from our previous project. Although it would have been great to use a completely new framework, for a two-week project, we agreed that something more familiar would align with our objectives; creating a functioning piece of work we were all proud of and could intellectually speak and write about.

After lunch, we continued with our Figma planning. If you are not accustomed to Figma, it is a browser-based UI and UX design application, with excellent design, prototyping, and code-generation tools. The team all put forward some great ideas, and collectively we agreed on the design and layout of what our pages would look like for our MVP. If you would like to see our designs, including the designs that were not used, a link is available in the README.md of this repo.

The tail-end of today was rounded off with domain-modeling - how exciting. Although we were beginning to lad at this point in the day as it was getting late. We managed to create our MVC models for our MVP and also our databases, also available in the README.md

Tomorrow we will begin going into pairs and start coding - you can follow our progress by checking in daily with our GitHub wiki!.
