Automagic v3.0

We are excited to announce the release of our updated version, which includes a host of improvements and new features driven by the feedback from our user community.

Bug Fixes

• IClabel Bug Resolved: We have fixed an issue where the temporary high-pass filter used in combination with the PREP pipeline was not really temporary. Users can now expect the intended behavior with temporary filters.

New Additions

• OPTICAT: We have added OPTICAT to list of preprocessing tools (Dimigen, O. (2020). Optimizing the ICA-based removal of ocular artifacts from free viewing EEG. 116117. NeuroImage, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.neuroimage.2019.116117)

• ZapLinePlus: We have added ZapLinePlus to list of preprocessing tools (Klug, M., & Kloosterman, N. A. (2022). Zapline-plus: A Zapline extension for automatic and adaptiveremoval of frequency-specific noise artifacts in M/EEG. Human Brain Mapping,1–16. https://doi.org/10.1002/hbm.25832)

• Speed Optimizations: Project loading times have been significantly reduced, allowing for a smoother and faster workflow.

• Improved Project Merging: We have refined the process of merging projects.

Enhancements

• Channel Management: A new feature has been added allowing users to remove miscellaneous (i.e., ECG, Photodiode) channels before preprocessing.

• Design Improvements: The user interface has been revamped, providing an improved user experience.

• EEGlab Version Update: The software now includes the newest version of EEGlab (2023), ensuring that users have access to the latest tools and features in EEG data analysis.
