Programming Club of UIET 2020-21

The repository contains record of all the session conducted by Programming Club of UIET in the year 2020-21.

Research Friday

Research Fridays are the interactive sessions held every week to introduce the students to the various research models. Every week, a participant presents a research paper of their choice, which is later discussed thoroughly in an informative and interactive session.

AI Saturdays are interactive sessions where you all can get information about the latest technology and development in the field of AI. In this session, we'll be introducing the concepts of Machine Learning and Deep Learning in a fundamental manner.

PClub Summer of Code

PClub Summer of Code is the 2 month long Open Source program during summers conducted by Programming Club UIET, with an aim to help beginners get started with Open Source Development while encouraging diversity. Throughout the program, participants contribute to different projects under guidance of experienced mentors. Mentors get to make their ideas alive and Mentees get to learn tech.

PSoC is targeted at audience who want to dwell in OpenSource Development as well as who are already into FOSS development. This program will help students for other opensource programs like GSoC, Outreachy, etc.

Software Freedom Day

Software Freedom Day is an event held all across the world to celebrate the usage of Free and Open Source Software. The event aims to sensitize students about the virtues of Open Source Software. Each year the event has seen growing number of participants and our past speakers have come from prestigious software companies like Facebook, Microsoft and Google.

The aim of SFD is to bring together developers and students of all levels on a single platform to share their thoughts, ideas and inspirations. This year, Programming Club of UIET brings to you the 12th Edition of Software Freedom Day on September 18, 2021 & September 19, 2021.
