New term : sensitive to 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CHEBI:34718)
A phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which cells show increased sensitivity to 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB). Cells stop growing (and may die) at a concentration of 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene that allows wild type cells to grow.
