Downloading Visual Studio

This is an Action, Reaction document. #'d items refer to actions and pictures refer to reactions. I'm using Firefox as the browser, so your steps may be different.

  1. Open up a browser and go to https://www.visualstudio.com

  2. Hover over the Download Visual Studio button and click on Community

  3. Click on Save File

  4. Click on the blue download arrow in the upper right corner to see the download:

  5. Click on vs_community_* to start the install process and continue through any intermediate screens until you see:

  6. Check all components (or AT LEAST check all the Web & Cloud components, Mobile development with .NET, .Net Core cross-platform development, AND Universal Windows Platform development; Scroll down to make sure you select all):

  7. Click on the Install button (it may take hours, you'll have to sign in multiple times, and reboot):
