Install SIDE portal environment

Prepare the running environment

• PHP 5.X (The PHP should include following extension: php5-mysql, php5-gd, php5-curl, pecl_http)
• Apache HTTP Server 2.2
• MySQL
• SQLite 3

Install Drupal6 and download required modules

• Download Drupal6: http://drupal.org/project/drupal
• Download jQuery UI: http://drupal.org/project/jquery_ui
• Download phpmailer: http://drupal.org/project/phpmailer
• Download rest_provider: http://drupal.org/project/rest_provider
• Download SIDE modules from github: https://github.com/sizzlelab/side
• Install Drupal6: http://drupal.org/videocasts/installing-6

Install modules

• Go to drupal6 install path, make a folder in sits/all/modules
• Copy all the download modules to this folder: jquery_ui, phpmailer, rest_provider, SIDE, SIDEws, SIDE_research_project, chart
• Open browser, go into website. Go Administer -> Site building -> Modules, enable modules PHPMailer, SIDEws, REST Provider, Heart beat chart, SIDE, SIDE project node module, jQuery UI
• Go Administer -> Site configuration -> PHPMailer, set the mail server.
