Cloud-native Network Functions Wrapper for Kubernetes

This wrapper for kubernetes is able to generate kubernetes objects from SONATA VNF descriptors. The objects modelled for kubernetes are the following:

  • Deployments
  • Services
  • Volumes
  • Configmaps

And the wrapper is able to do:

  • Rolling updates of the service
  • Service reconfiguration from FSM
  • Adding environmental variables of service and functions for auto-discovery
  • Recovering monitoring data from k8s cluster for VIM selection in placement plugin
  • Nvidia GPU selection
  • Scale PODs via request from MANO
