Isabel Drost-Fromm is member of the Apache Software Foundation, co-founder of Apache Mahout and mentored several incubating projects. Interested in all things search and text mining with a thorough background in open source project management and open collaboration she is working Europace AG as Open Source Strategist. True to the nature of people living in Berlin she loves having friends fly in for a brief visit - as a result she co-founded and is still one of the creative heads behind Berlin Buzzwords, a tech conference on all things search, scale and storage and FOSS Backstage, a conference on all things Open Source legal, governance and economics.

I've spent over a decade of my life active in the Open Source and Free Software movement. With my engagement in the http://innersourcecommons.org and http://github.com/innersourcecommons.org as of two years ago I've been investing more of my time into working on ways to easy the path for organisations and corporations from closed source development towards Open Source participation. I would love to put more time towards this goal.

Standard disclaimer: This campaign is done by me, Isabel Drost-Fromm as an independent individual, not by the Apache Software Foundation nor the any of its projects. I'm not representing the Foundation in any way in this campaign, nor does Apache endorse it. The Foundation has a policy of not paying for development work. All its members are voluntary, me included. Any contribution I'll make will have to pass the usual approval process. If this campaign isn't funded, I'll continue participating in the same way as before.
