When a new issue is submitted, someone has to review the following before it can be worked on:
- Is it a duplicate of an existing issue?
- Is the issue description accurate?
- Are there sufficient replication details for defects?
- Are there sufficient details about the problem and design for enhancements?
- Are the proposed enhancements aligned with the project's goals?
- How important is the issue to the project's current milestone goals?
In order to ensure a consistent and coherent design, Amy will own this role. All new issues will start with the "needs triage" label, and once she's removed it, that's the sign that it's ready to be worked on. While it's in triage, the reporter should actively communicate with Amy to provide any missing details and rationale.
