Discord Study Bot

Overview

This Discord bot is designed to help users manage their study sessions more effectively. It encourages healthy study habits by tracking study session durations and reminding users to take breaks. Built with Python and the discord.py library, it offers a simple interface for starting and ending study sessions, with automated reminders set to prompt users every 30 minutes.

Features

Session Management: Users can start and end study sessions with simple commands. Automated Break Reminders: The bot sends reminders every 30 minutes to encourage short breaks, helping users maintain focus and avoid burnout. Real-Time Interaction: Provides immediate feedback and updates on session status, ensuring users are always aware of their study and break times. Commands

!start: Begins a new study session. If a session is already active, the bot will notify the user. !end: Ends the current study session and provides a summary of the time spent studying.

Setup

Clone the repository: bash Copy code git clone Install dependencies: Before running the bot, ensure you have Python installed on your system and install the required libraries using pip: Copy code pip install discord.py Configure the Bot: Create a bot in the Discord Developer Portal and obtain your bot token. Replace the BOT_TOKEN in the script with your actual bot token. Set the CHANNEL_ID to the ID of the Discord channel where the bot will operate.

Run the Bot:

Navigate to the bot's directory and run the script: Copy code python bot.py Usage

Once the bot is running and has been added to your Discord server, use the commands listed above to manage your study sessions. The bot will automatically provide reminders and feedback based on your interactions.
