The Redstone Tweaks Menu

Space Walker edited this page Mar 1, 2021 · 3 revisions

All the features the mod has to offer can be configured in the Redstone Tweaks menu, which can be reached from the game menu or by pressing the R key on your keyboard. This hotkey serves as a toggle, so pressing it while the menu is open will close it. The configuration options are split over several tabs:

  • Tweaks
  • Server Config
  • Presets
  • Hotkeys
  • Info

General

Search Bar

Several tabs contain a search bar that filters the options to match your query. Directly to the right of it you will find the < button, which clears the search bar.

The Settings Tabs

The Tweaks and Server Config tabs are home to the bulk of the mod's features. Redstone behavior can be tweaked by changing options the Tweaks tab, while the Server Config tab contains some useful settings for server owners.

Search Bar

The search bar matches both individual settings and settings packs that match the query. For example, searching for "wire" will return every individual setting with "wire" in its name, as well as all settings that are in a settings pack that has "wire" in its name.

View Mode

To the right of the < button you will find the view mode button. This button toggles which settings will be displayed in the list. The options are

  • ALL: in this mode all settings are listed.
  • DEFAULT: in this mode only settings that are currently set to their default values are listed.
  • CHANGED: in this mode only settings that are currently not set to their default values are listed.

Lock/Reset

The lock and reset buttons to the right of the view mode button are only available to players with OP permissions (or in single player, if the player has cheats enabled). The reset button resets every setting to its default value. The lock button will lock every setting, preventing non-OP players from changing them. OP players are unaffected by locks.

The Settings List

The settings are sorted into settings packs. A settings pack is a collection of settings that are related in some way. For example, there are settings packs for [normal pistons](link here), [repeaters](link here), [bug fixes](link here) and global settings. The settings packs are listed in alphabetical order, with the exception that Global settings and [Bug Fixes](link here) are listed first. The settings pack's name is underlined, and all its settings are listed below it.

Next to the settings pack's name there is a lock button and a reset button. Similar to those next to the view mode button, these are only available to players with OP permissions. The reset button will reset every setting in that settings pack, while the lock button will lock every setting in that settings pack.

When hovering over a setting's name, a tooltip will appear with a description of the setting. If the setting is not locked, non-OP players can configure the setting or reset to its default value it with the reset button. OP players can also lock individual settings with the lock button to the left of the reset button.
