@abartov , I've implemented mobile filter for authors page.
As we discussed in ticket I've used same html form as used for filtering on desktop. This allowed to avoid code duplication and significally simplify JS code.
Please take a look, if such approach works for you?
Note: we can hide some filters from mobile form if you decide to reduce clutter on mobile.
