Pages
Multitopic courses can have first-level pages, and these can have pages inside them (second-level pages). To edit pages, ensure Edit mode is enabled.
Pages can be added using the + tabs near the top of the page. At least one first-level page must be added before second-level pages can be added.
It is not generally recommended to change the Level setting directly. See Moving for changing a page between first-level and second-level. The Topic duration override and Collapsible topic override settings don't apply to pages, only to topics.
Hiding a first-level page will hide any second-level pages inside it. Hiding a page of either level will hide any topics inside it. Second-level pages and topics inside a hidden page can't be unhidden until the page containing them is unhidden.
A page can be converted between first-level and second-level using the Raise page level and Lower page level options. A first-level page can only be converted to second-level when it doesn't contain any second-level pages. There are Move page left and Move page right options to change the position of pages. Since Multitopic v4.1, if using the Boost theme, pages can also be dragged and dropped in the course index. Since Multitopic v4.2, it is also possible to drag and drop tabs to reposition pages.
A page can only be deleted when it no longer contains other pages or topics.
This may be relevant if an unexpected image appears in the page summary. Initially, the Multitopic format was intended to have a feature to display an image in a section, although a proper interface for this was never developed. If there is an image in the section summary files that has a name beginning with goi_
(which stands for Grid Original Image, and is likely to be in courses converted from the Grid format), then it will be displayed as a section image. To prevent this, rename the image. This feature is not recommended for use, and may be removed in a later version of the Multitopic format.
