When you plug your keyboardio into your mac, you may trigger the Keyboard Assistant. This should only happen the first time you plug in a given keyboard running Kaleidoscope. The window looks like this:
The "correct" answer for an ANSI keyboard is "z". If you press a key that it does not expect, it will beep and make you try again.
The "correct" answer is "/".
After Apple puts you through this exercise, they allow you to choose an answer. If the assistant did not select "ANSI", you should do so now.
Now, click "Done." to dismiss the assistant.
