- wrote job for running rpm builds nightly (uses the version script above), pinged C cos i want to explain to him synchronously, then will commit the first rpm and otherwise should be ready to go
- started cookin the RM guide, which is in a ticket, feel free to drop stuff in here if you are workin on release mechanics

- Worked on #685 (Scroll to bottom issue). In the end, after a bunch of investigation, this depends on #688 (see below). Commentary added to that ticket. TL;DR #685 is superceded by #688.
- Worked on #688 (Inline conversation updates). Annotated some commentary in response to feedback from last week (thank you!). Added fix for #685 to this PR and tested the behaviour works as described in my summary at the end of the #685 ticket. Would like more feedback on this to ensure all the required behaviour is accounted for. Assuming what I've done so far works properly, I'll fix up with tests/docs/etc tomorrow morning ready for it to be merged.
- Made a start on #135 (Latest message preview in contacts list). This is ongoing, but I'm confident I'll get it done tomorrow along with #688 above.
