Clay pattern stamps are rare items that can be found or traded for with villagers. They can be used with a pottery table to carve patterns into raw flower pots.

Acquiring

Clay stamps can be found two ways. The first is to find them in dungeon loot. Stamps found as loot will by dirty (as pictured above), and thus unusable. To convert a dirty stamp into a usable one, it can be activated on a filled cauldron, "washing" away the dirt and revealing its true pattern.

A second way to obtain clay stamps is to trade with certain villagers. They may occasionally put up a trade asking to buy or sell a specific pattern. This is also a way to rid yourself of excess stamps should you find them.

Patterns

Each clay stamp is bound to a specific pattern. They are also colored, but this is to help you tell them apart. If more than 16 patterns are available in your world, some patterns will be assigned the same color stamp.

The default collection of patterns that come with the mod are shown here:

Adding Patterns

New patterns can be added to your game by editing the GardenContainers.patterns.cfg config file that gets created when the mod is first loaded. The default patterns are already defined. You will need to include your new pattern overlay images in a resource pack under the "gardencontainers/textures/blocks" resource path.

Patterns are rendered over pots with standard alpha blending. For best results, overlay images should be black with the pattern etched into the image's alpha channel.
