Light Chain
Light chain is a dynamic decorative block for hanging flower pots or other objects. It comes in several finishes. The base finishes are crafted from chain links.
Unlike heavy chain, light chain will form a special connection with certain blocks, connecting at multiple points. If several chain blocks are placed on top of each other, all of the connected blocks will split. Flower pots are blocks that get this special treatment. Solid, full-size blocks are also treated specially. For other blocks, light chain will render as a single vertical strand.
Light chain normally spans one block in height and does not care what blocks are placed above or below it. It will make special consideration for wood post and lattice blocks, and extend upwards or downwards to fully connect to those surfaces when placed above or below.
Only the iron, gold, and wrought iron finishes can be crafted directly. The mossy version of heavy chain can be crafted by surrounding Vanilla vines with 8 iron chains on the crafting grid.
Rusty light chain can be created by taking iron heavy chain and "activating" it on a filled cauldron. The water will quickly rust the exposed metal.
