Decorative Flower Pot
The decorative flower pot is a fancier pedestal style container made out of nether quartz. The three varieties of nether quartz block will yield slightly different pot textures.
As with most plant containers, decorative flower pots must be filled with a compatible substrate before placing plants inside.
Decorative flower pots only have a single plant slot, so they cannot be used with the garden trowel. They are compatible with the soil test kit.
Decorative flower pots are unique among all the containers in that they will accept netherrack as a substrate. Nothing can be planted on the netherrack, but it can be lit on fire with flint and steel. The fire in a decorative flower pot will not spread.
A decorative flower pot that has been lit will emit a strong redstone signal, allowing it to be used in dungeon puzzles. Think Legend of Zelda lamp puzzles.
