Large flower pots are block-size planters made of hardened clay. They are highly customizable and can be dyed, stamped, and connected together.

Large pots are multi-slot plant containers, capable of holding complex plant arrangements like garden soil. The garden trowel can be used to manage planting. Large flower pots are compatible with soil test kits.

Staining

Stained versions of the large flower pot corresponding to the 16 Minecraft dyes can be created. They can either be crafted directly from stained hardened clay blocks, or a crafted large pot can be combined with a dye on the crafting table.

Patterns

Stamped versions of large pots can be created by modifying a raw flower pot on a pottery table, and then firing it in a furnace.

Substrates

As with several other plant containers, large flower pots must be filled with a substrate before any plants can be placed in them. Water is a valid substrate, although only certain aquatic plants can be placed upon it. Use it to create reflecting pools, swimming pools, hot tubs, or whatever else you can imagine.

Connections

Large flower pots that are the same color and have the same soil type, when placed next to each other, will connect into a continuous planter. This will also open up additional slots in the plant arrangement interface, allowing you to place plants over the boundary between the blocks.

Farming

Large flower pots are one of the few plant containers that allow farming crops. As with tilled garden soil, the soil in large pots is self-hydrating and trample-proof, but the pots do not confer any growth bonus.
